Anyone use a linear compensator

Me, I have several.
My favorite 2 are the Troy, and the V-7 Helios.
Definitely get a little more kick, definitely won't blow your eardrums out either.

Looking to send noise down range is why I’m mainly looking into them.

I do. I much prefer it over a brake for both noise and recoil.

I have an Ultradyne Athena on my 308 and it is pretty awesome IMO.

Thanks for the info. I'll be putting it on a 224 Valkyrie so recoil is minimal anyways.

They are really designed for two different things. A linear comp isn’t going to reduce recoil like a brake does. The only thing a linear comp is designed to do is redirect gasses forward of the shooter. Doing that takes away a lot of the muzzle blast that you feel shooting with a brake.

With that said, a suppressor is a way better option than a linear comp of your goal is reducing sound/muzzle blast. Plus you get some recoil reduction on top of that.

If you’re considering a suppressor, go for it. One of the best investments you’ll make. Once you shoot a suppressed rifle, you’ll never want to shoot without one again. I’ve gotten rid of all of my rifles that aren’t threaded except for a few old rifles that never leave the safe.

The process seems intimidating at first, but really isn’t a big deal. Wait times should be going down also whenever eforms are released later this month which is a big plus.

I have a Levang linear brake that i use. The only time i use it is if the suppressor is on another rifle at the same time. Santa needs to bring another suppressor or two. This place shows in stock but i would check as they have been discontinued.
