It a basic chop and resize thru a press, but you really need to thin the necks because they will be too thick. Lots of videos of the process on the net.

Big question is why? There is plenty of 300 blackout brass around, unless you are just bored and want to kill time.

I actually have everything you would need to do it full length resizing die, bullet seating die, andnand neck crimp die, made by Redding. The little table top chop saw with the jig for proper length. I also have a pound or two of the lilgun shotgun powder and some 110 grain varmageddon projectiles that I was going to load. I didn't use any of it, I got away from 300 blackout before all of it came in. If you have any interest in this stuff PM me.

Have done it. PITA but easy at the same time. Mini chop saw from Harbor Freight. Dies and a neck turner. Chop off brass about .03 longer than needed and run thru sizing die. Trim to Saami length and then turn necks. Neck turn is a pain. I made a jig from a piece of wood by drilling a hole the same size as the brass base and then splitting the wood block in half on my band saw and then clamping the jig block to the chop saw. Will try to post a pic later.

I've converted a ton of heavy 5.56mm military brass and never turned a neck. Never had any issue whatsoever with the jams or any kind of ammo failure.

I turn the necks because all brass is not created equal. Some has thicker wall than others and might not work so good in a tight chamber.

There is a few billon tons of 223 brass floating around. Supply is way to large, not enough demand. I have a lot of 223 brass, had a lot more 5.56 brass. I took that and a bunch of other brass to the recycler.

I load very little 223, most of the 223/5.56 guns out there are ARs and most of those guys don't reload, just buy ammo. So they produce a lot of spent brass and keep the demand for spent brass low.

There is a lot of 300 BO brass out there also, I would just find a brass dealer and buy a bunch. Most of the brass dealers I find on line, have 300 BO listed. I have found dealers that sell brass by the 55 gallon drums, or even pallets of 55 gallon drums full of brass. The small time guys will sell bags of 100 to 1000 pieces, there are a lot of those guys.
