    Suppressor Question

Is it normal for the fired brass to have carbon on the exterior of the case after firing through a suppressor in an AR?

Just got my first can and put it on an Aero Precision 300blk pistol. Un-suppressed the brass comes out clean but when I put the suppressor on, the brass comes out with black soot on the exterior. This may be normal but I figured I would ask, just in case something needs to be adjusted.

It was with both subs and supers.

The unfired ones still in the magazine look like that with mine.

It also means that you will need to clean the weapon more often...congratulations!

Yup, back pressure from the can blows way more gas down the tube. Can be mitigated by using heavier weights/springs but will always be there

Heavier buffer or spring isn’t going to help gas from getting back in the chamber, if anything it will make it worse by delaying unlocking and opening of the bolt.

Yup. Adjustable gas block and cutting gas back will help. Won’t take it away.

Just part of a can on a gas gun. Worth it in my opinion.
