Trigger job on a Ruger Super Blackhawk 44

Does anyone know a good smith to work on a Ruger Super Blackhawk Bisley Hunter in 44 rem mag? I like the gun a lot but the trigger is terrible - hoping to get it slicked up by someone reputable. I'm in DFW by the way.

    Thanks for the help!

I don't know of any Dallas area gun smiths, but once you find a good one. He should be able to make some noticeable difference in the trigger.

I worked over my Super Blackhawk trigger years ago, it was definitely a lot better afterwards.

I just installed a lighter spring in my Redhawk because the trigger was a **** and it’s quite a bit better now. I’d start by ordering a spring kit (Wolff/Wilson combat) and making sure the trigger parts are clean and properly lubed.

Agree on the reduced trigger spring kit from Wolff. Super easy to do and makes a world of difference

I've done this on mine and on a buddie's as well. Makes a HUGE difference and takes about 5 minutes.

I have a guy here in San Antonio that can probably do it, if you don't mind the drive.

I have a Ruger Super Red Hawk in 44 Rem mag. I did the Wolf spring kit as well. Made a world of difference. As others have said, pretty easy to do as well.

I got a trigger spring and polishing stones from Midway, and improved my Redhawk trigger considerably. It is not difficult to do yourself. I don't know about the Bisley,. I wouldn't think it'd be a whole lot more complicated, though.

Jeff’s gun shop on Dezavala in San Antonio. Did a trigger job on my ruger. I told him I was in for a whole new trigger. Called me back and said hey it’s just a few dollars no trigger needed. Honest. Great price. Gun shoots great.
