    Q Fix

Does anyone own one or have time behind the trigger? I’ve handled them but never shot one. I’m interested in folks who’ve shot them. Not interested in your opinion of the owner….I have my thoughts on him too. Just want some product feedback if you have any.

I don’t know anyone that’s had one that has enjoyed it for anything other than a hunting rifle. It’s the least fun rifle I’ve ever shot. Recoils like a **** mule, and that little plastic piece doesn’t do anything to absorb it. I’m not recoil shy in the least bit, but that rifle just plain sucks to shoot. I’ve had several buddies sell theirs for that same reason. It was a very accurate rifle though, and I loved the concept of it. I only stretched it to 800 in the few weeks I had it, but it met all of my accuracy expectations.

This was a suppressed 6.5 Creedmoor, so it should’ve behaved like a kitten.

If you are interested in the Q Fix look at the Sig Cross. I shot both side by side and thoroughly enjoyed the Sig over the Q.

The Q is a great rifle, but it just seemed like a few corners were cut. IE the butt plate.

They seem to be solid rifles. I've heard the same thing on recoil being a little harsh though. I really want a mini-fix SBR with a 12" 6.5 Grendel barrel. I think that would make a dang good truck/blind gun.

I have a chassis rifle built by Alamo Precision on the MPA ultra-light folder. It’s in 6.5 with a Proof barrel and felt recoil is super polite. Love the concept and would look somewhere other than Q if recoil is harsh.

Just curious if any TBH guys owned and or used them. The feedback from y’all so far is about what I expected. I don’t know a single serious hunter/rifle guy who owns one…even as a range toy or just a “fun gun” to have in their collection. I like guns. I buy a ton of them. I’ve talked myself out of getting a Fix several times. The 8.6 really had my attention though.

I know of a guy that is far from broke, and he buys a lot of toys. He’s good friends with one of my good friends. He bought a fix a couple years ago, and owned it for a few weeks. He in turn gave it to my buddy cause his feelings replicated mine. My buddy then shot it, and stuck it in the back of the safe never to be seen again. He has no use for it, but refuses to sell it as it was a gift. So there it sits.
