    AR-15 help

I’ve got a PSA lower that the buffer tube is not screwed in far enough. The end of the tube isn’t holding the buffer tube detent in place causing the buffer spring to pop out of the tube.

Looking for someone with a gun vice, and tools to loosen the castle nut and screw the buffer tube in another thread or two.

I’m in Lampasas so the closer the better. I do have an armors wrench but no vice of any kind, nor do I have a torque wrench to tighten the castle nut back.

Not asking for anything free, I’ll gladly pay cash or get you the beverage of your choice or both if desired.

If my description is not clear enough I’ll post pictures.

    Thanks

Put a towel down on the floor to prevent scratching. The castle nut should not be that tight that you can’t loosen it by doing this.

Mine is the same way and I've ran thousands of rounds thru it just fine.

As in the detent and tube not being properly installed?

              It’s not.

I can try to towel method. Just don’t want to ruin anything.

Must not be quite the same issue I’m having. The detent and spring pop out after the bolt is sent into the buffer tube. The spring and detent end up in the trigger area of the lower receiver.

I'm in Goldthwaite I'm sure we can work it out. It will take 2 minutes.

Get the wrench on snug and give it a little oomph. My Ar10 is staked and even then I was able to turn it.

This is after a slight push on the buffer spring with my finger

The buffer tube just needs one turn. Don't loose the detent spring if you do it yourself.

ETI: The little detent above the grip.

I pulled the detent and spring out, just be careful when you break it down.
