I saw somewhere that I can not at the moment find a table of recommended bore diameters for various calibers. Two that I remember are for .22 cal they recommended a .281 bore and for 308 cal they recommended a .375 bore. The more precise you are when you drill the smaller you can bore without fear of a baffle strike. On my 22 cal can I drilled the baffles at .257 on the lathe when the baffles were made. I have close to 100 rounds through it and have never had a baffle strike.

Well I might as well end this thread for all the new info the ATF released this week

Was about to pull the trigger on 2 of the JR Machine Product tubes on their next drop and throw in some Dyno cups...

Won’t effect form 4’s. Just the form 1’s when doing a can (not SBR’s).

Bunch of communist *******s. If you haven't already need to be blowing up our reps in the Senate and House. This is ridiculously stupid and a huge over step.

                  Already have.

                  "Mr. _____,

I write today concerning the baffling overstep that the ATF is executing regarding Form 1 suppressors. The ATF continues to shoot from the hip regarding their "classifications" and "decision making" when it comes to SBR's, Suppressors, Form 1's and NFA items as a whole and this weeks rumored latest action is absolute proof of that. They are nuking a completely legal process because of how they are altering the definition of a suppressor and going as far as saying any part of a suppressor is going to be considered a suppressor going forward. If I have the engine of a 1966 Corvette sitting in my backyard is that classified as a entire working 1966 Corvette..? I write to you urging action because since its establishment the ATF has done absolutely nothing to benefit or support Gun Owners and this latest action further proves that. They are eliminating responsible gun and NFA ownership one cut at a time and we are very much approaching death by 1000's cuts at this point in time.

I hope you read my email and look into the matter further and see the concern that this overstep is producing. If you happen to read into it and decide to support the latest move from the ATF then I would like to know why and please site what evidence/findings that changing the form 1 requirements, from a already lengthy, thorough and arguably expensive process benefits myself, gun owners and Americans.

                  Thank you,

                  Mason Brauchle"

We really need to be pushing to take them off the NFA list and not having them listed as 'firearms'. Then, none of this matters
