    Another silencer question!

So, I got my first silencer. Got a Nomad L that I was planning on using mostly bench shooting. Maximum suppression was my objective.
Of course after shooting it, I went and got my son's 243 threaded. It shoots great, but a little top heavy as it is a savage compact model.
I wonder what hunting can do you guys are using? I'm looking for something shorter (nomad is 8.39") and lighter (nomad 18.3oz).

Will a nomad TI or Ultra 7 be enough of a difference? or do I need to go to something like an ultra 5. Any experience with the ultra 5 ?

I don’t own one but I’d get the Nomad Ti over the ultra 5. It will suppress better.

Nomad Ti is crazy light and has great suppression for its size.

Check out the YHM resonator K
Weighs the same as the Nomad TI but shorter.
        Also is a quick disconnect.

Omega 300 with flat cap and direct thread. It’s only 6” and pretty light. I also have a Harvestor which is super light but 8” long. I prefer the shorter Omega.

Also, standard nomad and nomad Ti are 6.5”. Not 8” but I think you were referring to your Nomad L

No, I ment the TI. The resonator comes in just under 5 inches.

                  Was referring to the OP.

I haven’t given YHM a look in a long long time. Used to be sub par. I have no clue on them now.

The less volume you have the less suppression you have.

The nomad is larger diameter and longer than the Ultra 5.

Thanks for the biology class. I'm jk..I was just answering the op. He didn't state he was highly concerned on the dB level.
He was more concerned with a shorter and lighter can.

They have come out of their slump. Atleast the dozen or so people that I know have had good runs with them.

Seems like every now and then some of these manufacturers have kinks on occasion.

I was quoting your post so the OP would understand the reasoning behind my response.

                            PM received, thanks.
