22 Ammo Costs

Wow, I know prices are crazy right now, but was looking at listing some .22LR ammo on here, but not sure what the dang prices are these days. I have an unopened bucket of Remington (1400 ct.) and one place that "has it in stock" shows sales price at $399.58, while another shows "available to order" for $214.00.

And then Remington Yellow Jacket HP are up there as well.

That’s insane! I’m buying 22LR every week at $.05-$.07/rd and easily finding 1000rds weekly. I can understand the $214. Still expensive but not terrible. I’ve seen people sell it on here for $.25/rd that is flat out gouging! Buyers are out there though.

I picked up a couple CCI mini mag 100rd packs Monday at Academy for $11.99 each. A little higher than I’ve paid in the past but not double the price or worse like I’ve seen for most ammo prices.

Market is getting saturated. Flippers are having to come down on their premiums to unload what they bought at academy. I picked up three bricks at normal retail pricing in the last few days which is probably more than I’ll ever shoot out of my bolt action and heritage revolver. Guess it’s good future trade bait if we have another crazy run after some sort of shooting event or legislative push (the dems don’t have the votes in the senate to get anything too crazy passed).

I haven't been able to find any for any cheaper than $0.25-.28/rd. I've been looking for it everywhere...got a soon to be 4yo that's getting a .22 Rascal in a couple of weeks for his birthday and I have a feeling he's going to be burning through some boolets.

Cheaper than dirt has 500 rd brick “on sale” for $199. I thought $20 a brick was expensive. Cheaper than dirt prices are the definition of Sodomy

Last time I bought those they were $7.50 but that was a few years back. I still have plenty.

Yes. My son and I shoot a lot and so do the guys at the ranch. We go through 3-5k rounds a week pending weather.

Check Walmart. 1 out of 3 locations I can find 22LR. Academy has been getting a lot more in stock as well.

22 Ammo Costs

It’s out there. Just gotta time it right like Antlers said. I walked into Academy around 11 pm on the way back to the office looking for 380 for the wife and found this. Limit was 2 boxes of anything (used to be three) so I grabbed 200 rounds of 9mm target. 380 was in 25 round boxes so... “sorry dear catcha next time !”[emoji12][emoji23]. Pained me to have to leave at least one box of bulk 22 or 40 there.... but if there was a 3 box limit there probably wouldn’t have been any 9s. Thankful to stumble on it.

Also some Walmart’s have 2 box limit and some don’t have a limit at all. I’ve been fortunate to find the Winchester 333 rd box and Federal 525 rd boxes at the box limit Stores. Then my honey hole store where I go has no limit and I can pick up all CCI 1000rds Varmint weekly. They get shipment at least once a week. Remington Subsonics as well.

Walked into the McKinney academy about a hour ago, picked up cci 22lr, $11.99. ONE box per customer!
