It's literally the same powder as W760 just sold under another name. I've used it in a couple of calibers. The knock on it is the large lot to lot variation. You can easily see a grain or more difference.

This is correct you can use the same load data for both Powders.

The only difference I have ever found is the W760 seems to burn a little cleaner judging by the amount of smudging on the case necks. I use it in my short magnums 300WSM and 338WSM

I used to a long time ago, when I loaded a lot of 22-250 and 308, it was great for both, that and BL-C(2). I have tried both for the calibers I have now, neither worked very well, for the short action calibers I have now.

Those two were very close in performance, as far as accuracy, velocity variation and then the velocity numbers I got. I think I got around 15 to maybe 30 fps more with H414 over BL-C(2).

It's hard to beat 38 grains of H380 for a 22-250. Here is 5 shots at 100 with berger 55 grain.

Hence the name for the powder. 38.0 grs behind a 55gr pill won many a benchrest competition. I been using that load for a long long time making P-dogs vaporize at 400 yds.

Hogdon has now upped the game with the CFE 223 powder.
You can now load 38.0 grs of CFE under a 55 gr for a whopping 3800 fps and not even flatten a primer. You do need a 24 or 26 inch barrel. I like those 38 numbers

I'm having good luck with this ball powder in the .308 with 150 gr Nosler BST bullets.
