I was pretty surprised by it myself. Probably a 1 out of 100 type deal, but being it was the very first time I used it on a deer-I decided to move on.

That said the AMAX has performed well enough for me to not have reservations about it for hogs and deer.Last edited by TX03RUBI; 01-28-2021, 05:56 PM.

I started getting them for my 308 cause that’s all I could find at the time I wanted to save my core locks for deer.GF killed her seventh hog with the A max this evening.They are devastating on body shots they do seem to come apart on heavy bone I wouldn’t shoulder shoot a bigger deer or elk with them but if you hit em in the ribs right behind the shoulder they seem to destroy all the vitals.They seem to shoot really well we’ve practiced with them out to 300 yds
