CZ shotguns?

She’s left eye dominant, right handed. Instead of searching for a left handed semi auto or pump, I thought the o/u would let her shoot either shoulder.

If she shoots lefty the CZ OUs that I have handled all have a serious cast-off setup for right hand shooters. CZ does offer OUs setup for left-side shooters.

CZ does make a 28 gauge pump that is a neat gun. I bought one for mt daughter and she prefers it over a 20.

I’ve been killing ducks for 15 years with a Browning Gold Hunter- this is the first I’ve heard of cast. How important is it? I don’t know if I’ll ever find a left handed cast.

Most guns are neutral cast and should be fine for a lefty. The CZ's, and Franchi OUs have significant cast-off...all of the ones I have seen.

Browning OUs are neutral or slight cast-off and Berelttas tend are have more cast-off unless you get a LH gun.

I shoot left handed and can't shot cast-off guns (well) and end up with sore cheek bone if shoot one much.

I had a CZ Redhead Premier in 12 ga that was a very good shotgun for the money. I sold it because I had gotten it in a raffle and did not need another 12 gauge.

My opinion would be to get a 28 ga. I have been hunting everything from Canadian Geese over decoys on down with mine and it does just fine.

I have not shot my Beretta Extrema 12 ga in a long time at birds because my 28 does such a great job. Besides that, they are typically lighter and more comfortable to carry in the field. I shoot a Benelli Legacy 28.

Good read- thanks. I put a small piece (1/4” sq) of electrical tape on my left shoot glasses/ sun glasses lens to block the front sight when I’m cheek to stock. Marsh mud when I forget it. I’m too much a klutz to learn to shoot left handed at this point in life.

I have a CZ Teal 12ga that I bought a few years ago from Cabela's and have been very happy with it. Nice wood & engraving with ejectors. Locks up very tight and is murder on doves.
