    ATN X Sight 4K

My wife got me an ATN X Sight 4K for Christmas (she’s a keeper!).

I finally unboxed it and got it set up last night. Pretty easy process. It comes with a 3 piece 30mm mount which seems solid enough. I only used 2 of the mounts when I put it on my AR.

UI is nice and smooth. Optics are clear enough, though I’m not convinced the 14x digital zoom is quite 14x. App interface is pretty slick and allows dual streaming so you and a spotter can both see the viewfinder on a mobile device. You can also set up several profiles so you can easily use on multiple Guns or with varying ammo.

I took it out today to get it sighted in. The one shot zero is pretty neat. Although it took me several shots to get on paper. Instructions didn’t mention needing to bore sight, though in retrospect it makes sense. I had to set up at 25 yds to get on paper and worked out from there. I also didn’t really understand how the ballistic calculator worked and that messed me up a little.

Anyway zeroed at 100 and decent at 200... I’ll tighten up groups later, I was rushing to relieve a babysitter

Round at lower right was “getting on paper”
3 shot group on bullseye is zero at 100
All other rounds were at 200 yds, 2 using on board ballistic calculator, 2 with that feature deactivated and me trying “hold over”

It’s all within “a minute of coyote head” or pig head

I do not think you will be disappointed. I feel like I’m only scratching the surface of its capabilities and I can’t wait to use it for some night time pigs/coyotes later this week

I have an older version and it's still super useful and hogs still hate it.

Yup I have one in a Six8 AR. It’s super easy to use once you figure out the features.

I bought one recently but returned it same weekend. No fault of the scope. Buddy took me out with thermals and I decided to go ahead and upgrade.

You will want to upgrade the ir illuminator .

Planned on it at some point. What range did you get with the “stock” IR? Reviews have said 200 yds. Which I don’t have many spots I could reasonably shoot more than that

I have an older version but I bought a fancy new IR and never use it. The stock one works just fine for our use after getting it adjusted correctly. It actually works much better if there's obstructions in front of the target because it doesn't cause overly bright glare. We can easily shoot 150 yards with the stock light and a bit over 200 in good clear conditions.
