    Rings and Mount Preference

I picked up a Savage Axis 308 from Walmart over the summer when they were giving them away. Now, Santa got me a Vortex Diamondback to go on it. So what do y'all recommend I need to use to mount them?

I use the Talley lightweight mounts on everything.

Check out dnz mounts. 1 or 2 piece. They are the most robust mounts I have found

talley on normal scopes and seekins or vortex precision on high end scopes

Seekins bases and rings. Buyonce cry once. You'll only have to check zeros from there on out never re-zero. Have a gun that's ridden in scabbards of pack horses in Colorado and in pickup seats for 6 years and never lost zero with seekins base and rings.

I absolutely love the DNZ one piece mounts and use them where I can. They are extremely well made, durable and no alignment issues. I have them on three rifles and have always been very pleased. They are also usually priced very reasonably when you take into account you would otherwise have to buy base(s) plus rings in many other instances.
