I’ve ran a couple Timneys and they were fine except the last one, pull weight was inconsistent from shot to shot. I switched it out for a Bix and Andy and was happy so ordered another one and had it installed in my last build.

I’m running a Bix as well. Seriously doubt there is a better one made

I know you didnt ask but I really like my Jewel in my 700. I think it is better than the Timney that is in by Dads Weatherby.

TriggerTech seems to be the majority opinion over on 24HourCampfire too. Same as here: Used to use Timneys, but now use TriggerTechs.

I run a TT Diamond in my precision rifle, I love it.

I just saw where Midway has the TT Special Remington 700 on sale for $175. May need to pick one up and try it out.

If you shop around (BattleHawk Armory or Locked and Loaded), the TriggerTech Specials will run about $150.

That’s a dang good deal. Our cost is considerably more than that.

Trigger Tech is the "flavor of the month". It was Timney forever, Then Jewell, then Rifle Basix.

Most of us really couldn't tell the difference in any of them blindfolded.

Unless you need a trigger under 1lb. They are all great.

If you want to be in with the "cool kids" buy a Trigger Tech. If you want the same performance for $100 less, get the Timney.

I have both, all set at 1.5lbs. I cant tell the difference

I have 7 TT's 4-primary, 1-special, 2-diamonds. I like them. But.... There has been a good amount of failures lately...
Because of this I think my next trigger will be a Geiselle super 700.

There’s a large difference when properly tuned. I run mine at 1 lb. you can’t tune most Timneys to that safely. The CE could. Rifle basix and jard have a lot of creep. Totally different quality there. Jewel was the go to for BR and precision shooting for a very long time. I finally bought a TT diamond and will report back on that. Gun is currently being built. The timney 510 will not feel or perform like the higher end triggers. It’s not designed to. For a hunter it’s not a big deal. For precision work it’s pretty well a necessity.
