Heavier will have more drop the the lighter even if the muzzle velocity is the same.. Its called gravity and the difference in the two flight paths widens the further they travel. I've never heard harmonics having anything to do with bullet drop.. Accuracy yes but not bullet drop. But heavier bullets will cause more barrel whip. This is one of the main reasons the TC Prohunters are notorious for not being accurate especially in the heavier calibers.. The barrels are to long.. The harmonics are all over the place. Its a design flaw. Cut 3 inches off, re-crown, and its a completely different shooter....

I shortened my barrel on my 308. It went from loving 168 gr Federal Game kings to hating same round. I found it changed preferences to 150 gr CoreLokt.
Proof is on the paper.
Good luck MrRichard.

Wow... A lot of information and wasn't expecting that. Never really thought or know much about Harmonics... The reason I asked this question is because of the difficulty in finding ammo these days was wondering how different grain weights might affect POI for hunting purposes so if my rifle is sighted with 130 or say 150 grain and I can only find 180 grain could I still hunt with it.. Seems like the general conclusion is that I probably could but best to shoot them before hand to confirm.
Thanks guys for all the information.
