    Marlin/Glenfield Model 30 age/parts questions

So I just traded for this 30/30. It's stamped Glenfield Model 30, serial number starts with AC13***. It is JM stamped. From what I could find, it was made in 1967. Is that right? Also, it's missing the "rear sight elevator" (see number 49 here). I ordered that exact part from them, but it won't fit in the rear sight slot - it's too thick at .075" thick. Am I looking at the wrong schematic? Where can I find a thinner elevator? If all else fails I'll just sand it down until it fits, but I'm thinking there has to be an actual part that's made for it. Now to find some ammo too...

Shot an old marlin for years with a match stick for the ramp on rear sight and killed alot of hogs with it. Those old marlins are good guns
