Why are you hording hunting ammo?

Got to hunt this weekend and found out my scope is off. So, went to two stores today and no ammo in my caliber.

Frustrating part is I thought I had 4 boxes of this caliber. Nope. Two boxes are completely empty with reload brass. And one box I have no idea where I set it.

Yea, I know. **** poor management.

Should have stocked up on hunting ammo and should have 1000 rounds of every caliber I own.

went hunting last week. Went to check the gun, took 2 shots and looked good so i stopped. ranch owner said go ahead and keep shootin if you want. I said no thanks, saving my bullets . For that gun I have a few hundred but not wasting any

Because it's ammo, and if Trumps loses we won't ever get back to better imo.
Also FMJ sucks.
I would much rather be punching holes with a TSX or a GMX, if my life depended on it.

I would look at gun shops vs sports stores.

Don't discount the Hornady ELDm bullets. Not listed as a hunting bullet, but they definitely get the job done, and done well.

i ran down to the Bass Pro in Pearland just to get out of the house. the old "buy a 30/06/308/270" because there will always be ammo for it adage completely fell apart.

here's what was on shelves. 6mm Creedmoor, 260 Rem, 7 WSM, 1 box of 25-06, and 350 Legend. i didn't study every single box left because i had my toddler with me. But, from look, that was it. complete insanity. I thought the 7WSM would be completely dead by now not one of the few available boxes of ammunition.
