    I have a Sig Kilo and am happy with it. I'm sure like most they don't range as far as they claim, so buy more than you think you need.

      Yes. The listed max yardage is on highly reflective targets.

      Figure half of listed range for an animal.

        That's what I've gathered. With the kilo 1400 (picked it up today, thanks bloodtrail for finding it discounted), I think I'll be good for any deer I'd feel comfortable shooting.

          I have the vortex 4,000 and it is nice. Have ranged deer blinds out to 1300-1400 yards and deer out to 700-800. Headed down to buddies lease this weekend. Will try to range further. I like the scan feature.
