    Magnolia/Tomball A&P Armory

I posed this on the reloading powder thread but figured I’d just throw it out here. I went into their establishment today and noticed that they had some H1000 in stock...cool right! Then I noticed their price...$99 a lb. I inquired about it and their response was, “it’s near impossible to find”. Just goes to show that they value an extra few dollars more than treating their customers right. I don’t blame someone for trying to help their profits a little when they have an upper hand in the market but this powder normally sells for $35-40 per pound.

Just passing the information on as I will be shopping elsewhere...not like they ever had a decent stock of anything to begin with.

I have shopped with Outdoor Limited for ammo for a while and they are pretty competitive. The other day the were selling 525rd boxes of 22LR for $99 each. Supply and demand I guess but I got a long memory. I still won't shop with Cheaper than Dirt since they did the same thing years ago.

Yes sir as do I. I respect their ability to price things however they want, but I have the ability to chose where I shop.

Thanks for the info. I’ve been wanting to stop by just haven’t had a chance. I’ll scratch them off the list.

Crazy fun fact. I found that listing about 5 days ago and the ad showed “491 units available “ at that price. Last night there were 31 left! People are paying it so I guess it’s fair market value.

That could be debatable, when it’s a almost 200% increase. Either way I guess it just struck a nerve.

Maybe their cost was $60+? It’s a pretty empty store and off the beaten path. They probably paid market price.

They could also be mirroring their suppliers/wholesalers inventory counts. Otherwise, an empty store w 491 lb of H1000 is kinda odd. Powders do have hazmat shipping requirements, so maybe thats part of the price.

Either way, supply and demand is crazy right now. Ive seen people pay insane prices for .22LR.
