    What poundage on Timney trigger?

I am going to order a timney trigger for my 700 long range 25-06. What poundage would y’all get? I am thinking 2.5 lbs.

What re you going to do with it 2.5 is good for a hunting rifle might want it a little lighter for a target rifle

I’d go 1.5 personally. Just enough weight to touch the trigger and go bang when you start to squeeze.

Mainly a hunting rifle. Just toting it back and forth to the stand, no spot and stalk western type hunting with this rifle.

Do you ever have an issue of the shot firing before you are completely ready? In a hunting situation.

Also would y’all go with a standard curve, thin or straight trigger?

I separately set three different triggers where it felt correct at the time and all ended up being right at 1.75. It may be totally different depending on what you like, but the lower option is there if you choose to have that available.

I prefer the Calvin Elite thin curve over the 510.

If you're the only one shooting it then 2-2.5lbs for hunting. If Others are using it, 3.5 is good.

I also prefer 1.5 lb on my hunting rifles. You still have to squeeze. It doesn’t just go off when you touch it like some people think.

Don't touch the trigger until you are ready to shoot.

Triggers are a personal thing, some like heavier, some like lighter. For me, as long as it's a good trigger, I like right at 2 lbs on a hunting rifle.

Never had an issue, like others have said. I dont put my finger on yhe trigger till im ready to shoot, and then a light squeeze and bang. Lol

Weight matters less than crispness to me.
