    Nikon Warranty

Sent a old pair of 10x36 ATB binoculars in that had bad eyecups, busted strap lug, and just dirty. Checked the status and the reply was "PRODUCT REPLACED REPL W/ SRO VOUCHER" Just trying to cipher what SRO Voucher means. Google no help. Tried to call but wait was too long while at work. I figure someone here knows.

    Thanks
    SAC

I read somewhere that if they can’t repair the item, they can issue a voucher good toward their products

Just went through this, sent in a scope and they said it was beyond repair so they sent me a $549.95 voucher code via email to use at nikonusa.com. Too bad they don’t sell scopes any more.

If its a fair value, Im ok with it. Just don't want to lose a good enough pair of binos and only get a 10% coupon. And don't want to have to spend 3k to get my value

Retail value. Problem is you have to use it on stuff at retail pricing too.

I take this to mean they don't fix their obsolete stuff anymore.

In other words, their warranty is useless now.

They’ve gotten out of rifle scopes completely
