    Colt LE6920 accuracy

Hello all, I have a colt LE6920 and was wondering what kind of accuracy out of the box yall are getting.

Im interested in a pig (head shot) gun, out to 150 yards. Ive had the gun for years and have yet to shoot it.

Other options are, a single shot, or bolt action(either a R700 or an R783).

They are terribly inaccurate. I’ll give you $800 for it so you don’t have to fight with it...

Should shoot 1.5-2” groups with a scope and decent ammo.

Ouch. ill prob pass on the 1.5. Looks like a singe shot or a bolt action is what im looking for.

A 2” gun is plenty of accuracy for your stated head shots out to 150 yards. My question is how can you have a brand new gun sit for years without shooting it?

You should see much better than 2” accuracy. Mine is 1” or less with Ammo that it likes. It tends to favor the heavier rounds better 69 grains and up.

I can shoot 1”-1.5” groups with Remington Core-Lokt 55gr SP ammo at 100 yards.

A lot of it has to go with trigger control. If I take my time, I can get it into a tighter grouping.

Just been occupied with other cals. I've been want to shoot it but never got around lol. Prob been in the safe 10 years.

I have an extra scope to throw on so I'm actually now wanting to shoot it.

                  Plot twist.

I have a single shot 300 blk that shoots lights out at 100yds. Maybe ill just stick to that and reload some more 125 sst.

I ended up buying a remington 783. Looking like the colt will stay in the safe.

This! With good 60+ grain bullets in a premium load such as Hornady or Federal premium, you should get sub-moa with it.

Edit: saw you bought a bolt gun, but one thing you can do to greatly improve the accuracy of that Colt is get rid of that trigger and put a drop in premium trigger. I put Timney's in all of my AR's and that is the single most important thing I've done to improve accuracy outside of optics.

Rifle finally came in. Waiting on my scope rings to come in today then ill set it up. Threw a cheap scope I had to see what it would look like. Think ima like it!

Cool little gun so far. Hope its as accurate as most reviews say it is. Definitely want to rattle can the stock or get a boyds.
