    Ruger AP Action

    Has anyone had luck making the action smoother on their ruger AP? Mine feels a little rough and I don’t want to be taking steel wool or something to places I shouldn’t. Any help?

    In for this. My 308 is a touch rough as well.

      I have found a couple videos on YouTube but the methods seem questionable. Like taking steel wool to the action or rubbing JB bore paste all over the bolt and cycling it a couple hundred times. It would be nice to hear from someone that has successfully made the action smoother without damaging the gun to chime in. We’ll see

        Set down at TV and just work it back and forth smoothed mine up.
