    6.5 PRC ammo

I did not realize that that many ppl have a 6.5 PRC rifle. I cannot find ammo really anywhere. What up with that? Lol

I load my own PRC stuff, but it's an up and coming cartridge and I think you're seeing a lot of guys buying Hornady stuff just for the brass. Granted, the 143 and 147 ELD's are shooting really well in a lot of rifles, brass for the hand loader is few and far between. ADG/Gunwerks brass is snatched up pretty quick. I know cuz I've tried to get it and its usually sold out before I can even bring up the website.

Some started buying rifles for the ammo they could actually find. Lmao. I fully support that line of thinking.

I've got all the stuff to reload myself but I've been kind of lazy especially because the 143 ELD X shoots so well in my APR rifle. I'm down to just shy of two boxes of Factory ammo left. Every time I go into a store that has ammo I look for it without success. Sometime this winter I'm going to have to break down and roll my own. Good luck finding some. I've never seen it in the store.

All ammo is hard to find.

Dallas Custom Reloads or Copper Creek.. they make quality ammo. Chad's stuff at Dallas custom reloads is legit. Used his 129 gr LRAB to harvest an antelope last weekend at 350 yds.

I really want to buy a 6.5 PRC in the next week or so but the guy at Carters Country told me to beware. Said factories haven't totally bought into that load yet and off-the-shelf ammo may continue to be difficult to find for it. Therefore folks don't buy rifles for it, therefore companies don't make ammo for it...etc, etc. Viscous cycle. I may just stick with the 6.5 Creedmore.

Hendershots does custom loading for the 6.5 PRC.

Hornady backs it and lots of people are buying it. It’ll catch on. Remington is the king of killing decent rounds

That's the same company he suggested I check out.

Yeah my APR rifle loves the 143 ELDX factory loads as well! I have started my load development already with this caliber. Already found a good velocity node, with RE 26, ADG brass, Federal gold large rifle primers, and 140 grain accubond bullets.

Not sure where you are located but I was at Fehners in Gonzales yesterday and they had a good bit of 6.5 prc ammo.
Actually was surprised to see that much of it. I guess it caught on as a round

All ammo is in short supply so production shifts to the most popular cartridges which pulls production from rounds like the PRC.
