    Winchester shotgun help

A guy I work with asked me to clean his Winchester pump shotgun. I took off the barrel, wiped it down and put it back on. Not the chamber will not close all the way, any ideas?Click image for larger version

Try pushing up on the floor plate and see if it moves something out of the way.

      Tried that, no luck.
I can slide the pump all the way up, then when I put the barrel on and push it down it pushes the pump down. Click image for larger version

Is the barrel fully seated in the action?

Try putting the barrel on with the action open, then close it. Hard to say just looking at pictures.

Yes, then I put the cap back on and tighten, slide the pump back up and it stops1/2 inch short.
            I don’t get it.

I did open and closed. No luck. Really scratching my yard on this one.

What model is it...that flat bar that runs in the sides of the action is critical & can get tricky.

                no youtube assembly out there??

Bbl may not be all way in and slide bar may be out of track. Look inside to see if bar is not going back far enough by not lining up and keeping bolt from closing.
