    Bought my first Tikka...Wow!

Got a great deal on a NIB Tikka CTR Manbun with a 24” barrel. Buddy on our lease brought it to me this Friday. I borrowed 10 rounds of 143gr ELD-X and mounted a VX5 on it in Warne Rings.

My boy wanted to hunt with it Saturday afternoon so I yanked the bolt out of it and bore sighted it at 100. Fired one round at 50yds and made an adjustment.Fired another round at 50 felt confident Id be on paper at 100.

Moved to 100 and sent one...6” high and 4” right as near as I could tell through the scope. Made another adjustment. Wasn’t quite far enough. One more adjustment and sent another one. Hit the 1/2” diamond on the target.

Went ahead and shot 2 more. Didn’t have any calipers but there was one hole in the target about 3/8” in diameter.

7 rounds total...~.25 MOA on last 3 with factory ammo.

Yeah.....I don’t think this one is for sale.

A friend of mine has a synthetic stock t3 in 308 and man is it smooth. The bolt feels like it’s on ball bearings. Congratulations on the good shooter[emoji106]

I have one as well in 6.5 creedmoore. 5rd zero'd at 100 look like two holes touching. Ran it though a ballistic calculator was having first round impacts to 400, then one correction for a second round impact at 500 on an idpa target. That's as far as I could get on the ranch.

There is a reason so many mountain hunters use them for customs.

Get on rokslide and see what people have to say about them.

Manbun? I’ve heard so many good things about Tikka but I felt it didn’t fit me well. I may need to re-shoulder one before my final purchase.

I traded for a t3x stainless in 7 mag. It shoots pretty good.

You might lose $5 on that. I didn’t need this rifle but bought it anyway. I am scratching my head on my customs now.....I love following the APR threads but I don’t think I could justify another one with the way this thing shoots. Might be a fluke though, you never know.

It's not a fluke. Thousands shoot like that. A poster above mention the Rokslide forum. There is a big Tikka following there with lots of info.

I set up a Tikka short mag for my dad that shot 1/4 MOA. I also questioned why I had a custom gun built

I've never found an out of the box stock that fit me well. I threw a KRG Bravo on my Tikka.

Tikka is the new 700 when it comes to accuracy for the $$$$...
