Forgive me as I am really unfamiliar with the whole NFA trust thing. Not even real sure what the benefit is of putting trustees other than the main purchaser on a trust

If I did a trust, could I list my brother, a resident of New Mexico, as a trustee?

To make it easier add him to the trust after the approval. Then he won’t need finger prints and pictures until the next time you file. He’ll need them then and now if you add him before.
