    Selling a Rifle Question

I’m thinking about selling my Savage 110 7mm08. I actually really like the gun, but it had a couple screws that were stripped and I don’t want to mess with it. It has shot well and I have killed several deer with it. But at the same time, I just don’t have the confidence with it that I have with other guns. I’d like to sell it and buy a different gun.

Where would be the best place to sell it and what would be a decent asking price. It’s about 2.5 years old and has a few boxes through it. Black synthetic stock.

I know I can sell it in here, but with the stripped screws, I don’t want to sell it to someone in the event they have issues with it down the road. (I will disclose the stripped screws issues of course).

I dont think you would have a problem selling it on here as long as you mentioned the issues just as you have in this post. Regardless of where you list it, you should state what is wrong with it wether its here another place. Only way to do business the right way

Agreed completely. I wouldn’t sell it without disclosing that info. That’s why I’m asking where to sell it. Just want to know the best place to sale a rifle that may have an issue.

            The trigger guard screw.

One of the scope base screws was stripped a year or so ago but I took it to a gunsmith and he fixed it and I haven’t had any trouble since with it.

Sounds like you need to buy a fat wrench torque wrench.

Post it on here with a disclaimer and price reflecting the issues or just helicoil the trigger guard screw and keep on rocking.

I'd fix the trigger guard spend some time at the range and never skip a beat.
