    Brownells got me!

Finished my 6.5 build yesterday. Took her out back to sight in. Pull the trigger and only hear a click. And rounds wont eject..... After inspection i discover that a 556 bcg was shipped to me in a 6.5 labeled package! Dangit. So i will have to wait untill Tuesday to call them and see what they want to do.

IT happens. Especially with Grendel. I always check them really close before installation, mainly due to there being more than one standard for a Grendel bolt. Glad all you got was a click! That is easily fixed, other than the time it will take to argue with them about it.

Wait the bcg on 5.56 and 6.5 Grendel is different? Thought it was just a barrel swap and go?

Yup, there’s a spot in their website to be able to return it.

Carrier is the same, bolt face is different diameter.

300 Blackout is a barrel swap only among a couple of more obscure others.

They should e-mail you a pre paid shipping label. If not ask for one.

Be sure to get the type I or type II bolt for your gun. The type II is the original and has a bolt depth of 0.136" while the type I has a depth of 0.125" Nothing can be easy right?

It's a type 2. I called yesterday and she sent me a shipping label to ship back the old one and she's sending me out a new one no charge of course. After I expressed I was a little bummed out I was not able to shoot last weekend and if I would get my part in time shoot this weekend she upgraded my shipping to Priority Mail. All is good but kind of disappointed they didnt automatically do priority mail or overnight shipping when it was their mistake but everything's good.

Good to hear they are taking care of it. Good luck with the shooting.
