    Sig BDX scope and rangefinder

Looking for a scope to put on a 7mag for longer range shots (300-500 yards). It won't be a gun I always hunt with but will be more of a "specialty" set up. I want something simplistic to use once I get it set up and dialed in.

I've got a buddy that will sell me a Huskemaw at a good price but was looking at the SIG BDX combo as well. Does anyone have or used the SIG scope/rangerfinder combo?

If there are other suggestions, please pass along. I'm not interested in MIL/MOA and dialing clicks at this point.

I’m interested in the same set up as well. I’m leaning more towards the Leupold CDS setup though. Curious to hear about any first hand knowledge with the BDX

      I've got one...

of the Sig BDX systems on a Christensen Arms Mesa in 6.5 PRC. I haven't been able to get it configured correctly because I have to complete the "velocity calibration" by shooting for group at whatever the longest distance I would shoot at and then making adjustments in the app, but I'll give you my review.

I configured the app using data from the box of 143 Hornady ammo and paired it with the scope and was nailing a rock at 660 yards. It did take some adjustment, but that was before I learned that I had to do the velocity check.
The crosshair is a duplex, but it's a thicker than usual duplex to allow for the LED's. The scope has good glass, the power adjustment is a little stiff, but that's ok.

I've got handloads that I need to chronograph again before attempting the velocity calibration. I don't have access to a 300 yard or longer range that I can shoot for group so I'll have to wait until this fall for that when it cools off.

It's a good scope and I think the system is very good. It's just going to take me awhile longer to get it all set up correctly.

I have one I will sell you because I am not going to buy the rangefinder and sync it up. It came brand new in the box with a rifle I purchased on here. I have it on the rifle now, but I am going to be switching my Swarovski over before next season.

I thought about getting one after my buddy got his Burris Eliminator but I don't ever do any kind of huntin where I'd have time to range the animal so that the scope will dial in to the point of aim. I can say that out to 362 yards that Burris Eliminator is quick at showing your hold over and right on the money. Just hold the crosshairs on what you're gonna shoot and push the button and you're gonna hit it if you put that red dot on it.

I say 362 because that's the furthest he's shot with it so far. Another one of my buddies had the first model that Burris came out with and killed an antelope at over 600 yards with it. He had it mounted on a custom Remington 700 chambered in 7mm. Unfortunately it got stolen. But that Burris Eliminator is a bad son of a gun. It's just sad how far out you can hit critters using one of those.

They're pretty pricey. If I get one it'll have to be when they got back on sale. He got his for $999.
