Jipped by Speer

Today I found some gold dot projectiles I’ve been looking for got home started loading them up prepped 100 cases charged and started seating when I ran out of bullets before cases. I had 2 50 count boxes and 2 50 count loading blocks but 2 empty cases. Turns out each box was missing 1 projectile..

This is honestly a first for me not a big deal but none the less. I figured Speer would have better QC.

Just be happy you found some Speer bullets, I bought the last 500 Midway had in .357 I'd gladly be shorted one if I could find some.

Happens with almost every manufacturer at one time or another. I’ve had remington loaded ammo with primers in backwards and many other examples over the years.

Not making excuses for them but I bet the boxes are filled by weight and the calibration was off enough to short 1

You could probably send them friendly email with the lot number and they might send you some more for reporting it or at least sell you some more with a 2% discount

I had an issue with bullets of 2 different calibers in the box. Don’t remember the manufacturer but they were responsive to my emails.

Back in the day when I started reloading they’d usually include one over. **** bean counters probably put a stop to that.

I bought 3 boxes of Nosler Accubonds for my 257Weatherby and one of the boxes had 10 or 12 bullets with the tips broke off or missing. I sent the box with the bullets back to Nosler and they sent me a new box of bullets back.

I got some .204 Sierra bullets and it had several .223 bullets in the box, I had a heck of a time getting the .223 bullet out of my seater die. I sent the box back with the bullets and never heard chit back.

The best one was a mislabeled Redding Competition Neck bushing die, I ruined about 10 Lapua cases before the light came on.
