    Hogs

Shot up a few hogs this last week. Can't get many pics to upload for some reason.
I stalk the river bottoms with the wind at my back and wait for the hogs to get nervous and run. Can get w/in a few feet of them doing it this way, the big guy came at me from 40 yds after the first shot he took 6 more to anchor him at my feet basically, a little too close for comfort. He had bullets in his back, chest, legs and finally one to the brain. Killed a big sow, another boar and a few piglets shooting from the hip as they scattered around me in every direction. Fun fast action!

          Good job! Nice cutters

Interesting they don’t blow out way ahead of you
I prefer to sneak upwind in a thick creek bottom till I smell or hear something.
          .223?

I learned some time ago that they will not get up and leave their bed if they are comfy unless they really feel threatened. I have walked past many hogs w/in just a couple feet and have them snort in displeasure but stay put. In hot weather they will really stick tight and so that is why I use the wind to help get them up.
This is a 224 Valkyrie that I use, PSA lightweight 18" with a Leupold Hog Plex scope, can get on them pretty fast using that. I rarely get a standing shot if ever.
