I’m waiting on a silenerco omega 300 to come in, and am needing a host rifle. I’m ignorant when it comes to rifles, and would really appreciate some feedback on what to look at. Im favoring something along the line of a Remington 700 sps tactical or similar. It will be a fun gun/blind gun that I would like my son to be able to shoot around age 8. Weight is not important and would actually prefer a heavier gun for recoil. $2500 and under for rifle only is what I’d like to spend. Would appreciate input on rifles that would be a good fit. Thanks very much.

I have an Alamo Precision Rifles built 308 with a 16.5” barrel that I run suppressed. Absolutely the finest rifle I own. About your price point and you won’t find anything better than an APR. Considering trading it for some high end NF glass, but its a difficult decision. Might check APR out- - highly recommended.

Shoots lights out straight out of the box, no need to upgrade anything. Sub-MOA guarantee on the rifle by the manufacturer.

My daughter has been shooting it with my Sandman S since she was 13 and she’s a heck of a shot with it, dang good rifles.
