Asking so that when my wife goes to veto my next purchase I can look her square in the eye and proclaim, "HEY! I'm a firearms collector. You can't stop me. It's what I do."

When you lose track of how many you have..........
I’ve forgotten suppressors I’ve had for a couple years, and “misplaced” rifles for years at a time. I couldn’t tell you how many guns I have unless I sat down with pen and paper and thought about it for a long time. Maybe I could then. I’m not a collector, but I used to be though. I don’t have any use for safe queens that don’t have sentimental value. I use to buy guns solely to own them, and they’d sit unused. About 5 years ago I started downsizing, and if it didn’t get used regularly it went the way of the dodo (excluding sentimental family guns etc).
I don’t think I can add anything positive to this thread. I buy them and they just sit. I have my favorites that get shot though. I’ve sold several in the last couple of years but I need to sell more. I think I have things under control now but it probably wouldn’t take but a nice lever action to set me off on a binge buy. It is better than it used to be.
