Did Nosler ever make a 175g Accubond for 7mm?

I know they make a 175g Accubond LR currently but I had someone from a scope manufacturer tell me that Nosler used to make a 175g Accubond. My latest Nosler loading book is 2007 and the Accubond only goes to 160g. Just curious....

They make a 175gr Partition-- not tracking a 7mm Accubond (non-LR) that was over 160gr.

Yes I saw the partition. The long story is I purchased a Shepherd scope for a 28 Nosler. Based on their BC they had a 175g Nosler @ 3075fps listed for factory ammo. I made the assumption that it was the 175g ABLR which is what I’m shooting. The reticle was a perfect match to that ammo, with +\- 2” out to 900yds. I get the ABLR ammo in and the MV is 100FPS different and the BC is different. My mistake for relying on their ammo listings. I emailed them to let them know of the error and they replied that the ammo they have listed is for a 175 Accubond, not the LR. I thought that was odd as I have been loading 7mm for 15 years and never seen an AB that heavy. Plus the 28 Nosler has only been out a short time and I was 95% sure that since it’s been out there was never an AB...just the ABLR.

So I called Nosler and they confirmed that they never made a 175g Accubond up until they released the 175g ABLR.

I have included the screen shots from the email correspondence with the scope manufacturer

I’ve never heard of a 175 Accubond only the ABLR. I’ve loaded a truckload of 160’s in a 7 STW and have been wanting to try the 175 ABLRs.

I had a thought, that maybe what they are calling a 175 gr. Accubond is actually a Ballistic Tip. They are virtually identical on the outside. I looked up Nosler 7mm Ballistic Tips to see if they make a 175 gr. Midway USA popped up on the search. It came up with 7mm/284 cal. Nosler Ballistic Tips, then you have to choose what weight. To my surprise, the listing started at a 90 gr. Ballistic Tip, never knew Nosler made such a thing. Then went all the way up to a 300 gr. Ballistic Tip. Pretty sure that 300 gr. is wrong, I got a bit of a laugh out of that one. It does show a 180 gr. Ballistic Tip, which may actually be a bullet they make. The picture of the 300 gr. bullet, looks like a 458 SOCOM bullet.
I did not know they made a 175 gr. Accubond, if Nosler said they never made it, they probably never made it.

Nosler had to come up with a buzz word to appeal to the new long ranger super hunters when they created a heavy for caliber bullet, it's still an Accubond. In the end, it doesn't really matter, lot of other factors effect the BC. What altitude was the factory ammo fired? What was temperature? Did you chronograph your rifle? Seldom does your rifle obtain the same velocity listed on the box. The BC changes with velocity. Most bullet makers are a little over optimistic on their BC's. If you buy something with a canned ballistics plot built in, that matches your real world shooting..................you got lucky. If the goal is to hit a 48" plate at 1000 yards, then it's probably ball park close.

And not sure it is the case here but Nosler recalculated a lot of BC's using doppler radar and earlier boxes of ammo listed the old BC, but it was usually higher (optimistic) than the new loaded ammo.
