Cant help with the .277 or .284 but if he wants to step up to the .300 there is a great one on 24hourcampfire. Nicest stock I have seen on one.

No longer made and hard to find! Exceptional 1986 .300 Weatherby Mark V Euromark(Designed with a more classic, European style stock, The Euromark is also crafted from American walnut custom grade, fine line and cut checkering with an extended tail on the pistol grip is standard. The Euromark action and hammer forged barrel are satin blued to a soft luster to complement the hand rubbed satin oil finish of the stock. Mark V action with 9 locking lugs, with 54 degree bolt throw. The Euromark is also individually hand bedded, has an Ebony pistol grip cap with maple diamond, ebony forend tip plus a black Weatherby recoil pad). This 300 Weatherby 26” barrel, Optional knurled bolt knob.Manufactured in Japan. Overall condition 98% +++. minor handling marks on forearm Conetrol bases and rings with Kahles 3-9 x 42 American Hunter Plex reticle-Rifle will be shipped in a hard case from non FFL to FFL dealer. If required to be shipped from FFL please add $25. $2200 shipped. Additional photos available upon request. To preserve this beautiful wood stock while in the field I have a Bell & Carlson Medalist synthetic stock ( tan with black spiderweb)with aluminum bedding and factory Weatherby trigger guard assembly that could be purchased for an additional $250.

We have found a couple 300s. He has 3 of them already so trying to find it in something he doesn’t have caliber wise. Thank you though!
