    FFL fees

Thinking of getting a handgun shipped to my very close ffl. They want $30 to do the transfer. Does that sound about right? I've done a transfer before and really don't know what is a reasonable rate.

    You will see $10-$40

$20-$25 is what I find as the norm.

The place I go to charges 20 if you have a CHL and 25 if not. 30 isnt out of the question though.

$15 at the place I use in Houston. Previously paid $25 at another.

The places I’ve used in Abilene were $10 or $15. In San Angelo they were charging $35 an I thought that was a bit ridiculous.

In south MS, going rate is $25-$40, place I use is $30. Never even heard of these $10-$15 transfers some of you are getting.

Seems like a lot of places have gone to $50 lately around Austin. Last couple places I have used have ceased accepting transfers from individuals and I never heard back from Livengood Feed in Lockhart this time. Had a gun delivered Tuesday and it was $49.95 for the transfer. In short, only buy expensive guns as it makes the fee more palatable and roll with the $30. :-)

I agree with others, seems $10-50 with something in the $20's as an average.

I see you're in lake Jackson, if you make it to the south side of Houston, I recommend primary arms. They're on the south beltway near 288 and will do up to 5 guns on 1 form for the same $20.

For those in the Houston area- if you use Spring guns and ammo (3 locations) they charge $20 but give you a free range pass with the transaction.

Any suggestions for the area West of Ft. Worth? Not necessarily the cheapest. Looking for a good shop to do business with long term. Going to buy a new rifle, an AR upper and maybe a suppressor or two this year.
