How big is your big game hunt idea? That info will help.

      257 Wby is wildly awesome.

You dream of big game (assuming this continent), keep the 7Mag on your list to be considered.

Several options from Nosler, rem, HSM, and Norma.

I did forget the Nosler stuff. I have a box sitting on the shelf right now awaiting the rebarreled action from APR. I have to look for some of the others you listed.

            Sierracharlie out…

You already have all that's needed for the Hill Country.

I'd suggest a 7RM or 300WM if you think you're ever going on an elk hunt and they'll do just fine in the Hill Country.

If not, as others have said, get a Lever gun in 357 or 44 mag or 45-70. I have a 45-70 in an 1895 Marlin that shoots 3-4 inch groups at 200 yards with a 4x scope. That's plenty of range for most Hill Country work.

.45/70, put on some peep sights, shoot moderate loads. Fun, nostalgic, kills EVERYTHING. You already have stuff for longer range. Or a .30/30,or .35 Remington, .444, etc.

Dang right! The 250 savage with a 90 grain SGK is a joy to shoot and the Bob with 100 grain Nosler BT is deadly.

The 557 has a 24" barrel, but I think there is a CZ model that has a 20" barrel in that caliber as well.
                        Big 557 fan here.

They have a 557 carbine with iron sights and 20.5" barrel as well as a 557 with no sights and 20.5" barrel. The newest 557 version has a 24" barrel.

There are a lot of good choices and a .243 would fit in nicely with what you have.
