I have a 6 creed 6.5 creed and 280 AI in custom rifles. Thinking I'm gonna go a 300 win mag throated for the 215 class bullets in the carbon carbon option 1 as a go anywhere do anything build. Should round out my collection very well.
Robert would you recommend the wyatt's box in this setup? How much extra does that add to the cost?Last edited by txagyotebuster; 01-09-2020, 06:37 PM.

If you don't already have a quarter bore in your collection, it's not a bad place to start. It gets even more interesting with the new black jack bullets. 24" would be about right. Twist rate depends on if you actually want to shoot the newer bullets, or stick with the standard stuff.
Will the faster twist .257 barrels be able to shoot the factory loads (110, 115, 120, etc)??

I would go with the Wyatt's. I think it's only around $35 or so.

I'd go 28 nosler then. About the only thing you don't have covered is a screamer 7mm. The 7 saum is basically the same as the 280 AI

I have never shot a PRC but i would guess 140 gr bullets in both would be similar recoil. Step up into the 160 plus in the 280 would have a bit more recoil. My 280 AI from APR doesn't recoil bad at all with 168 gr bullets and i hate recoil. My gun is a maverick with grayboe stock and steel barrel so it will be a bit heavier than this build.
