Hoping there is a barreled action option as I prefer chassis

I have a chassis that just so happens to need a barreled action!

Crossing my fingers for soon. I have some questions I want to ask that I didn’t want to ask on this thread and muddy it up.

On one hand, the product is in a different league altogether from the early versions and the price can't be touched for anything comparable. But......it sure keeps a lot of folks out which works against our intent of doing this thing in the first place.

On the other hand, we never intended to do the volume on the scale of last year's special, so this year's numbers are more in line with what we had planned to do all along. It has to balance out with our available capacity without too much impact on our normal business.

On the third hand, we planned for the capacity just in case which may have worked out perfectly. Somewhere in all of this, the idea for the affordable 700 build got some traction and it provides an opportunity to actually offer a good deal to those who couldn't swing this year's build. Our leftover capacity should just about cover that project nicely.

I already can't wait to see where next year's build goes. There are some new offerings that launched at SHOT this year that could make it very interesting.

I had every intention of being part of the group build this yr but after sending a ti action to wto I was kinda in a bind for lightweights after all and I wanted a switchlug. I can say for certain that it was definitely a great buy for all that participated.

        And Robert,

I do have an axiom sa with the corresponding Curtis wto switchlug...if I can get that unit into the 700 action deal I’ll be all over it. You said limited supply, I wouldn’t mind atleast being part of the barrel part

I don't know much about the previous builds because I wasn't around back then. I assume the cost of nearly $3k would run some people off. I personally see tremendous value in this year's build. When you look at the quality of the components (Defiance, Proof, McMillan, TriggerTech) and then have it all put together by a premium builder, sub $3k is unheard of.

Now Robert's talking about kicking off a special 700 build ASAP. APR offering these deals to the TBH community is truly a great service that helps his business and allows hunters / shooters to get great rifles at a deep discount.

Thanks to Robert and APR, awesome folks in every way.

            ^^^^^

I totally agree with you on this, spend just about 3k on this rifle when all said and done was a great value in my opinion. All of the quality parts you are getting, and the pros at APR putting it together. I am super excited on getting my rifle this year! This build will be my first true custom bolt action rifle. Thanks again Robert for putting this build on! Once again I'm super pumped! Thanks again

I definitely think this is a great deal and am very excited about my build. I’ve been kicking myself for a year for not getting in last year.

Big props to APR for putting this on.

I can only speak for me, but definitely see the value. Getting top shelf goodies assembled by guys who know their stuff for what we are paying is a heck of a deal. I had to bite my lip to not pull the trigger on a second one. As it is I am looking forward to the 700 details as I want to upgrade another rifle!

I've got an extra VX3I 4.5-14X50 that I plan to put on mine.

Probably a Swaro Z5 3.5-18x44. Also seriously considering a Z6 if I can make it fit the budget.

This is my first custom, true 1000 yd gun. So have no clue what I’m gonna put on it.

Nightforce or Swarovski is what I'm looking at currently. Really like the nightforce nx8 4x32x50, would rather dial in than hold over with the Swarovski. Hard decision though havent decided yet.

I had picked up a Swaro x5 a while back and this may finally be the use for it. Was going to use that on a custom 300PRC build but I think this APR build in a 6.5SS will be more lightweight and better suited for it.

                              Scope

I went with a Zeiss Conquest V4 4-16x44 Zmoa-2 reticle and Seekins rail and rings on my 6.5 PRC. I've only put 13 rounds through it so far, but I really like it. Glass is as good as my VX-6. The elevation turret has a zero lock. Reviews are very positive.

I’m probably going to pick up another Z6.
