    Everyone giggles

I don’t think I’ve seen a single person yet that hasn’t laughed when shooting a suppressed gun for the first time. Especially with subsonic rounds. People tolerate the jarring blast of the muzzle as part of the fun of shooting, and when the blast is unexpectedly eliminated, it just makes them giggle in disbelief.

Took the kids to the range for the first time in a long time yesterday. They shot the 22 ammo they got in their stockings, and the boys wanted to give my 243 a try. I also grabbed the 300BO SBR my daughter and I had assembled together as a daddy daughter project a couple of years ago. I’d only shot it with supersonic loads to test cycling reliability, and my daughter was too nervous to shoot it then. We bought a few boxes of S&B subs at the range, and after the boys shot nearly all my dang 243 ammo, we got the AR out.

It’s kinda funny, but my AR seems old fashioned now. It’s a 300BO with a SpecWar7.62 can. That’s sooooo 2015, LOL. Anyway, I loaded the mag, reassured my daughter she’d like it, and let her shoot it first. As expected, giggles.

Glad I loaded up on brass and 190gr projectiles on Black Friday last year, because it appears it’s going to get some use now [emoji41][emoji106]

The Specwar 762 is soooo 2013 haha I’ve got one in the safe as well. A VERY quiet can that’s built like a **** tank.

Keep up the good work OP! That’s the way to make lifelong shooters!

I call my 22 bolt gun with the can on it the giggle gun for that reason. With CCI subs, literally all you hear is the firing pin fall and the bullet impact.

My Gemtech Mist .22 lr barrel on the 10-22 action and Boyd thumbhold stock makes everyone giggle when they shoot it. And I buy .22 shells almost weekly!!!
