This was my one & only what we used to call an 'official screamer'...I shot a ton of groups into the .1's, but here is my only zero with a little bonus.

I was running the flags as fast as I could & on shot 5 the fly arrives...tell my shooting partner, "Hey doc, look at my target" & he goes "kill it!!"

I go back to finish the group & the condition has changed completely & I put about 4-5 shots into the sighters before settling on the new hold & got lucky.

Doc still called it a 1" 6 shot group

Artos........thanks for posting that again! I love that pic, and it is exactly what flashed through my mind when I saw a fly land on the staple of one of my targets a couple years back. Wouldn't want to take bets on doing it again, but it worked that day

Yeah...thank God for sighters!! I actually began to regret shooting the dang fly & ruining what looked like a possible screamer after seeing a huge wind change.

I held my horizontal at 6 & vertical at 3 & liked impact around 9 so I don't hit my holds...the change was so drastic the crosshairs were now under the group. Pretty crazy what wind can do to a pill at 100yds. Not sure how many 4 shot screamers I've had turn into a figure 8 on shot 5...I've had to control myself from throwing my ppc's down range!!

IMO it isn't a single small group that defines a "tack driver"--it is the ability to do it over and over and over.

5 Shots @ 100 from my 6XC with 115gr dtacs. But to answer the question, consistent 1/4 MOA is what I define a tack driver as.

Even if I don't shoot it (much), I have decided to keep it. Well, the TBH market forces decided I will keep it. :-)

What is a tackle driver? To me your not sniffing a tack driving gun unless your 1/4 inch at 100 with a 5 round group.

And then hold 1/4 moa out to say 200 minimum
