    I think the Remington 700's will always be a classic.Cooper rifles too.
    I've got a couple of synthetics,and they serve a purpose.Coyote hunting,and carrying a long way,at times.
    I love my wood paper punchers/comfy deer stand guns.

        Classic to me... is ANYTHING blued steel and wood.
        Nothing like the old Marlins, Winchesters and Savage 99's. Those guns were made when they were making guns. Not cost effective products.

          I agree with the Coopers but the average guy these days goes to with a $300-$500 Academy special and calls it good. Companies have figured a way to make them more accurate than yesteryear. Different strokes for different folks. I have 5 Coopers that my wife and daughters will get when I am gone.
