    100%. Some really nice stuff comes out of Japan and S. Korea.

    For me the Winchesters aren't worth it since it's just gonna get beat up anyways. I like and appreciate pretty guns, but don't buy them.

    If I were going to take that next step up, i'd probably look at Taylor's and Co. as well.

      I buy guns to use hard. Not interested in spending more money for a better look and finish. That's why the Marlin is at the top of my list. I have a pre 64 Model 94 Winchester 30-30. I never use it, mainly because I'm always afraid I'm going to tear it up.

        Better go shoulder them Henry has a very specific clientele it hits. The comb is dropped and does not fit a lot of people. Including me, both are great guns. I love my Marlin 45/70.
