    Fixed Power Scopes

I have a .257 Roberts I want to put a fixed 4x scope on, yet hardly anybody makes one. I know Leupold makes one, but everything else is cheap import scopes. Has the demand for fixed power scopes dropped off that much?

You can't give a fixed power scope away, it seems. Everyone wants a variable that goes from 2 to 20. I have never felt handicapped by a fixed power, I think a decent 6x40 is perfect for most fixed power applications. The price on variable scopes is down with the fixed ones, so I can see the merit of variable. I just find for new shooters it is one less thing to fiddle with and worry about by using a fixed power scope.

I have a new Weaver 4x I believe it is the Grand Slam, it is a very good scope, clarity compares to a vxii. And yes they are not popular.

Get you a weaver k4 out of El Paso. They’re not to expensive and would probably be fitting for your rifle.

That's what I figured I'd do, get an El Paso Weaver or a Denver Redfield.

I have a clean Redfield Widefield I could part with. It’s a late 70’s scope, back when Redfield were good scopes.

SWFA SS 6x are awesome. I don't think they make a fixed 4x.
