It looks like Hornady has discontinued my favorite factory ammo in 7mag, the Custom Lite. It was perfect for deer and antelope, having ballistics almost identical to a 7mm-08, saving my barrel and my shoulder for the bigger pills when I go chasing elk or nilgai. I really like using one rifle for everything. This stuff would shoot MOA or better out of my A-bolt.
It's still for sale online and I was able to buy 5 boxes. I might pick up a few more. Remington still makes their Managed Recoil but it doesn't shoot as well in my rifle.
The custom lites are excellent loads
My kids shoot them in their 243s and they are crazy accurate and deadly.
Can’t believe they are discontinuing the 7 mag

No lie, I'm a little ashamed to admit that those little 87 grain Hornady Custom light 243 loads shoot better than my hand loads in my sons youth model 700. They are literally one hole at 100 yards. My reloads are about 1/2" group which I'm still happy with.
