    AR 15 Trigger Upgrade

Thinking about upgrading the trigger in my AR 15 to CMC drop in.

Looking for some opinions on curved vs flat from those that have experience as I have never shot a flat trigger.

I just put in a flat 2.5# CMC on my Grendel. It is very nice!!

      I have a flat 3.5 lb CMC I’d sell if you’re interested.

That's what I run and love em. I prefer the flat now that I've ran it for a while.

I upgraded a couple of my AR’s last year to CMC when they ran a $99 Black Friday deal.

I never considered myself a “trigger snob” until I bought my first timney instead of sending my 700’s back for the trigger recall.

This is a tough one to give advice on. It will feel different depending on the grip you run, how you handle the weapon, finger length and then the flat face. I don't have anything negative to say about flat, but I do find that my finger will move around and does not have a natural home, if that makes sense. Placement high or low will increase/decrease pull. On a chassis bolt gun I definitely prefer a pro curve just because I dont wrap my hand around the grip, with a flat face I feel like I am reaching for the switch.

I’ve got a flat 3.5lb CMC I run in mine now. I like the flat, solid contact point I get. As stated above though, it can be difficult to continually find that seeet spot on the trigger. I’m not shooting matches or anything but I’m plenty accurate enough with it.

I have some curved 3.5 lb and like them a lot. I would like to try a flat next time.

I like the flat ones. I feel it takes a 3.5# trigger to feel like it is less. Also feels less creepy to me. I hope this makes sense. It did in my head anyway. LOL

I've gone almost exclusively to CMC flat triggers. The funny thing is that unlike some of the other folks, I feel I get a more consistent trigger pull and finger placement because with the flat trigger it is easy for me to get to that same bump on the bottom of the trigger each and every time.

I also like the Larue trigger as well, and for the price it is hard to beat. I have yet to try out the new flat trigger from Larue though.

I have a CMC 2.5lb flat trigger. Love the flat trigger better than the curved. The flat has a point on the bottom of it. Feel like my trigger pulls and where my finger is more consistent.

I really like my Giessele trigger in my Grendel and Blackout.
