    Long range/hunting scope recommendations

Having WTO build me a 6.5 prc and looking for scope recommendations. Will have a 3B barrel, will hunt and also shoot some long range with buddies to 1000. Budget: $2000 max.

    As always, thanks green screen!

I've gotten interested in the Athlon scopes. The Cronus BTR is their top of the line and comes in just under your budget. It's heavy, but it's 4.5-29x56 in a 34mm tube, so that's unavoidable.

Read up on those scopes and lots of reticles are not lining up
And the customer service isn’t fixing the issue.

Got a link? Everything I've found on them is super positive reviews and customer service stories.

I'm taking a long look at the Nightforce ATACR line...

Running an ATACR 4-16 MILC on my 7lb Havak hunting rifle in 6 Creed. Currently no glass on my 7 lb SAUM that WTO built me. I’ve been playing a pretty serious game of musical scopes lately, and just can’t stick with one. I’m thinking another ATACR 4-16 but with the MILXT reticle instead.

Any of the 4-16 or 5-25 if you look hard enough. I passed on a brand new 4-16 MILXT for $2100 last week that I’m still kicking myself for. Obviously you’ll be buying used, but that shouldn’t be an issue. I buy and trade a lot of glass. Just do a little research, and make sure the seller has solid feedback.

                  Used all day under 2k. 1600-1800 regularly for a 4-16 F1 mil.

Sniper hide is where I read the info on them.

I love my Leupold VX6HD's they are light and don't have to super tall turrets like a lot. Amazing glass, and wonderful zero stop. I got rid of my Nightforce NSX for the first one and loved it so much I bought another one for my APR build.

Have looked at those, they do look nice. What power did you go with?

Not running on my rifle, but I have shot a couple rifles with them. I know they are popular options when you watch the line.

Good glass and repeatable. Has the H59 rect for 2019 which is busy but nice.

I have a PST GenII 5-25 FFP mil that has served me well for what I need.

Sorry, I'm not getting notifications anymore when someone quotes me. But to answer your question I have the 4-24x52 with the TMOA reticle on my 28 Nosler and a 3-18x50 firedot is in the safe waiting for the APR build to be completed.
