Was out this evening shooting off a few rounds, that turned into 100rds, I was trying to double tap a sheet of printer paper. First round dead on 2nd consistently about 8-10”. Any ideas on how to keep good control. I was shooting both my Caniks oneis a TP9SF Elite the other TP9SFX.

I use to teach rookies,, draw fast shoot slow,, they all became much faster and more acurate

What distance are you shooting? I recommend getting some IPSC targets and some tape for them so you’re not just shooting printer paper. And look at the bill drill. Do that and try and keep your hits in the A zone. Don’t focus on trying to shoot as fast as you can. You can work on speed or accuracy, then put the two together. You can’t practice both at the same time.
And don’t practice these drills with your carry ammo or +P ammo. Best to use cheaper and low recoiling ammo. If 9mm look into some 147 grain subs. Oddly enough heavier bullets with low powder charges have a softer recoil impulse.
